I firmly believe any material item that has been personally handled and customized in someone’s space makes it exactly 859 x more inviting. It’s those little details that help transform a house into a home.
My dad loves to build things from scratch. Growing up, he even made my sister and I a bunkbed. It definitely makes the memories I have of staying up way past our bedtime more significant.
Whether in the form of building, up-cycling, or re-vamping DIY projects are also a great creative outlet. It’s much more rewarding to have made something with your own vision and two hands than to have bought it that way! Even better if you spent quality time DIYing with those you care about.
